Qualitative Meta-synthesis of Nurses' Caring Experience for People with Dementia

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to synthesize and integrate the results qualitative studies on nurses' experience caring for people with dementia.Methods: We followed Noblit Hare’s seven step meta-ethnography studies. Six databases (PubMed, Web Science, EMBASE, RISS, National Assembly Library, KCI) were used search literatures that explored nurses’ dementia. Based criteria, nine included synthesis.Results: Five themes ten sub-themes identified: “Knowing diversity dementia”, “Building a relationship trust”, “Finding value in life”, “Willingness overcome external obstacles”, “Establishment nursing strategy maintain routine dementia”. nurses considered their own life through dementia, tried establish daily these people.Conclusion: This provides deeper understanding experiences can be helpful establishing various coping strategies so provide efficient patients.
